Review: Twists of Fate

 Book: Twists of Fate
Pages: 264
MRP: 150
Publisher: Mahaveer Publisher

First I want to confess: I read a beautifully written, error free Novel from an Indian Author after a long time. So congratulations Priyanka Naik for it.
“Twists of Fate” is a novel that revolves around the story of three friends; soulmates-they prefer to be called Sharvari Joshi, Parizaad Sethna and Nandini Mazumdar. They have distinct individual personalities different from each other, have different views of life, belong to different income group families but yet their friendship bond holds them together.
Story tells us about the turns and twists of life as they grow. How they evolve from teenagers to adults and how their friendship helps them move through difficulties of life even after being separated for more than ten years.
Priyanaka has been able to do justice to all three characters. She has covered their lives with minute details and nowhere has it seemed that one character is lost to other.
Story moves smoothly, characters develop beautifully and time moves at its pace.
Writer has done a thorough research about her characters like for Parizaad Sethan, a Parsi, one feels Priyanka has lived with a Parsi family as she knows the minutest of details, like their festivals, celebrations on birth or for that matter rituals in case of death, their favorite foods etc. Same holds true for Joshi’s and Mazumdar’s.
Even when her characters move to different cafés, she justifies the name of café with the Menu.
Congratulations Priyanka for the efforts and 1 extra Star for getting all details correct.
Two things emerge sharply after reading the novel:
  1. Priyanka is a great cook and I will love to taste her food one day.
  2. She is a very good doctor but here I will not like to test her.

Overall a good read and a must read for any author planning to write a Good Novel.
